Branding SharePoint

By Diantha van Marion

January 30th, 2010

I just migrated my DasBlog to this Wordpress blog. So if you see any inconvenience, please let me know.

I’m very exited to use the features and widgets DasBlog couldn’t offer. For now I just used one of the default themes, but I wouldn’t be me if I would just leave it like this. So be prepared, in the near future, I will restyle this blog personally. First, I need to find some time to do it. :)

Thanks to have you back! Same blog, different place.

“Arriving Internet Explorer 8 browser sticks more strictly to web standards. Sites and online applications which work well in IE7, could be reflected incorrectly in the new browser. Especially Internet sites which use cascading style sheets (css) must pay attention. That is striking, because Microsoft stated at the passage to IE7 in 2006, that browser would support css entirely already. Microsoft has given a beta 2 version of the browser earlier this week. It is the first test version which downloads are public available.”

So here are some dirty hacks:

Unsafe ie7 hack:
html>body .classname
*property:value

‘safe’ ie7 hack:
head~/* */body .classname

‘safe’ ie8 hack:
*:first-child+/**/html .classname
